The greater Alpharetta community showed its true colors last weekend when dozens of volunteers and hundreds of good samaritans came together to provide much needed supplies to hurricane-ravaged western North Carolina. Thanks to the tenacity of WPEF Founder Cheryl Sims, along with The Funky Farm, The James Fisher Foundation, Wilsun Custom Products, and the Cheryl & Co team, a tremendous donation drive was scaled up within one day. Alpharetta residents showed up in droves, bringing an abundance of food and supplies for humans and animals alike.
In total, seven trailer loads of supplies were sent to North Carolina. When we ran out of trailer space, Angel Flight Soars came to the rescue, flying two additional loads of supplies to the area. We are truly humbled by the incredible outpouring of support and are so proud to help make a difference in communities near and far.
